Inside King's-Edgehill School

Art Attack

The Grade 7 students have been challenged with completing art assignments in this new online world, and it is certainly not easy! Despite the obstacles that may stand in their way, they all have been working incredibly hard to stay on top of their academic schedule. To incorporate some fun spontaneity into their school day, I have started holding random Art Attack Challenges by having them engage in mini crafting competitions. During these challenges, students only have 45 minutes to craft something out of a variety of household items, and they are expected to bring them to life! After everyone has submitted their creations, the Top 3 Winners and Honourable Mention award, are presented to the world through our KES Newsletter, and they are granted ultimate bragging rights for eternity.

For their first Art Attack Challenge, they were tasked with creating their own sock puppet friend. Then they were asked to share the story of how they met in a recorded video. Let me tell you - I was not disappointed. Below are the winners of our first round of Art Attack Challenges!
