Inside King's-Edgehill School

Art During Uncertain Times

My first online assignment for all my Grade 8-11 Art students was a ‘reflection project’ which was broken down into four sections:

  1. Write in your sketchbook a reflection of what happened to you after you left KES for March break (over the last three weeks).
  2. Interview one of your parents or an adult about their views on the isolation and the pandemic.
  3. Let us know that you and your family are okay by making a sign with a positive message from your family.
  4. Take a photograph of you and your family with your positive message sign. The photo could be while you are doing one of your favourite pastimes.

This assignment gave me a lot of hope for our future, and it truly was wonderful to see our families together. Thank you for letting us come into your homes. We could not post all of our family pictures this week so we will post more in next week's Newsletter.
