Acadia 254 fan base254 KING’S-EDGEHILL SCHOOL CADET CORP GUARD OF HONOUR - ATTENTION! And a hush fell over the crowd. You could have heard a pin drop at the Acadia University Rugby Pitch as our Regimental Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer Sophie Fraser readied her Guard for the march on. Our 254 was invited to participate in the opening ceremonies of the 2018 Women’s National Rugby Championship at Acadia University. The Cadets, decked out in full Highland Ceremonial Dress, were magnificent. The Guard consisted of the Colour Party commanded by Warrant Officer, Madora Rae Barbour, and the Girl’s Rugby Team was commanded by Company Sergeant Major, Master Warrant Officer, Tea Racozzi. Our Pipe Major, Master Warrant Officer, Nicola du Toit and Pipe Warrant Officer, Kelly Bouwman provided bagpipe music to take the Guard onto the field. Formed to the left and right flanks of the Guard were the rugby players from Ottawa and Acadia. Ottawa featured Alumnae such as Kenzie Cecchetto (Class of ’18), Morgan Rogers (Class of ’18), Alex Ondo (Class of ’16) and Amy Marchand-Dion (Class of ’18). I am sure they were proud to see their old Corps providing the pomp and circumstance for this auspicious occasion. Following the declaration of the games being open, RSM Fraser gave the General Salute to a rousing version of Mary’s Wedding on the bagpipes. This was immediately followed by the singing of O Canada. Then the Guard marched off into the annals of our 254 history. What a night to be in the Corps!

Leadership. Precision. Respect for Tradition. That's why every King's-Edgehill student becomes a proud member of  our Cadet Corps. Download the Cadet Corps PhotoJournal for pictures and information on this exciting opportunity.
