When to apply for King’s-Edgehill School – steps involved

If your child is considering King’s-Edgehill School, we have a rolling application deadline to make the process Applying for private schoolflexible for parents and students. The earlier you apply, however, the better, since you can take advantage of the following:

Scheduling a visit

What better way to get a first-hand look at everything we have to offer your child? Your student can spend a full day with us at your convenience, allowing you both to get an up-close look and connection with our family and campus.

He or she will be matched with a student in the same grade to experience their day on campus. They’ll tour our residences, facilities, and chapel, and will join with other students for meals and classes. Your student will return to Marshall House to write the entrance test and interview with our Headmaster.

In the meantime, you’ll tour the facilities with a member of our admissions team who will be happy to sit with you and answer any questions you may have while your child id busy exploring KES. You’ll also meet the Headmaster, faculty members, coaches, and house parents.

Completing our admissions process

You’ll have plenty of time to complete our admissions process, allowing for any possible delays in obtaining information. Our process has the following steps:

  • Submitting an academic form
  • Taking the confidential Academic Records form to your child’s current school and asking them to complete and mail it directly to KES. The parental authorization portion of the form will need to be signed in advance.
  • Scheduling your tour, entrance test, and interview
  • Paying application fees
  • Completing a medical form for your child (Please note that the medical form does not needed to be submitted with the application and should not delay the process.  For students accepted to the School, the nursing staff require completed medical forms and information prior to the start to the school year).

Applying for financial assistance

If your family may need financial assistance, we have a programme to help. We offer a combination of merit-based scholarships and need-based bursaries as well as deferred payment plans. KES offers financial assistance to over 35 percent of our student body. Applying early ensures that you’ll be able to complete any forms necessary and will give us time to process the information and determine what assistance you may qualify to receive.
