A big thank you to everyone involved with the exceptional fundraising efforts for the 40th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run for cancer research.
For the past 35 years, the Windsor/King’s-Edgehill Terry Fox Run has been recognized as one of the top fundraisers in Nova Scotia, and this year was no exception. This year's “One Day, Your Way” approach was extremely successful. Led by our school community, this year’s Run made the “Terry’s Top Ten” list for fundraising. A remarkable off and on-campus effort, including on campus flats/houses helped us reach our best cancer research fundraising total EVER: $26,166.35!
This year's event saw boarding students and staff run, walk and cycle a 5km route together on campus, while day students and their families, along with off-campus faculty, Alumni and KES friends, designed their own routes. Needless to say, the virtual event was very well participated and everyone still had a lot of fun.
What a difference this fundraising effort will make for cancer research and innovative treatments for patients. As Terry Fox once said, “the answer is to try and help others.” All of you have done just that. Forty years after Terry began his Marathon of Hope, we are proud to continue to champion his ideals and his inspiring dream: a world free of cancer.
Thanks for your support!
