Much like the 4 km course that our harriers raced around on October 8
th, this recap will be shorter than the usual standard. However, be sure to
click on this link to see a great video put together by
Amelia MacDonald ‘21 of our trip to Maine. For most of the team, this was our third race in 7 days. That’s tough as it is, but, there was also the 1600 km worth of driving in just 60 hours. Needless to say, legs were tired. Indeed, to be fair, I think that most of the team ran this course as opposed to raced it. That said,
François Richard ‘21 and
Aria MacDonald ‘21 both got the job done as they placed first and second, respectively. Also finishing in the top 10 were
Aitana Cisneros ‘23 in 4
th place,
Maddy Taljaard ‘20 in 9
th and
Ela Perez ‘21 grabbed the 10
th spot in her race. Honourable mention goes to our second boy across the line in 11
th,
Callum Lovelace ‘21.
A special thank you to Ms. Kim Shanks for getting us quickly moving when we had more transportation fun (not a KES issue!)
Our next meet is the Western Region Championship on Monday, October 21 at River Hills Golf Course in Clyde River. Our Provincial Championships are October 28th at Trenton Park. We hope to see you there!
