Inside King's-Edgehill School
Featured this week, are Maya Faucher (Grade 11), Lucy Goddard (Grade 10), and Cameron Stewart (Grade 12), singing the I Love You Song from the 2005 Broadway musical, THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. The trio unveils a pivoting story about family dynamics through their musical counterpoint and harmonies.
Maya starts the piece in the part of the mother; then, Cameron chimes in as the husband and father. Lucy then responds as the daughter, Olivia, expressing her disappointment. All three then entwine in an exciting musical collective repartee arrangement until the song ends on a unison note. Unfortunately, the calm in the conclusion of the song brings no resolve to their concerns; however, it does make for an attractive piece of music.
