Braving the Chilly Atlantic!

Five courageous students braved the October chill to spend the Thanksgiving break in the chilly Atlantic! Our group (David Ubber, Vincent Becker, Ayumu Goto, Harrison Lee, and Pablo Bezares, along with staff members Sven Dietrich and Morgaine Sullivan) were intimidated but undeterred by a storm surge that swelled the waves to more than double the normal size.

Members of the East Coast Surf School gave our group a quick lesson before we jumped in for the day, and they were pleasantly surprised by how keen we were. We spent the day paddling, swimming, and tumbling through the waves, all while wearing the biggest smiles on our faces! Five hours later, five exhausted boys packed themselves into a School van and slept the whole way back to campus!
