Bring a Friend To School Day--a Huge Success 2018

Valentine’s Day was extra special at our School as we opened our doors for our second annual Bring a Friend to School Day.  We know that our students are regularly asked about what it is like to attend King’s-Edgehill School. Today was our students’ opportunity to show their friends a typical day at King’s-Edgehill School.  Our students are proud of their unique school and, 61 students invited nearly 70 friends to spend the day with us!

IMG_2342.jpgWe had students from around the corner, HRM, Chester and throughout the Valley spend the day with us.  In fact, we had so much interest from families in New Glasgow, we sent a shuttle to pick up those friends yesterday and six friends spent the night in dorms, fully experiencing a Day in the Life of our School as a boarding student.

You can also browse more photos from the day here.

Friends joined regular activities, starting with our full School Assembly, attending classes, eating in the cafeteria and then joining their friend for sports in the afternoon.

With 70 visiting guests, our classes, halls, cafeteria and our hearts were full, on Valentine’s Day!  At the end of the day, we asked our guests to share with us what they thought about King’s-Edgehill School. We thought you’d appreciate some of their feedback.

“It was very interesting to see the difference between KES and my school.  The students here are very engaged and eager to learn. It was an all around positive environment.”

“I liked the teachers and the food!”

“I thought it was really cool and interesting, people were welcoming.”

“Very fun, fun people, interesting classes, and lots of fun activities, lots of school spirit.”

We know some of our invited guests were just curious about our School, but for some students, it may have sparked a desire to join our School family and discover their “more”!

We are so grateful to our students who invited their friends, and to the friends who taught us more about ourselves and made us appreciate all that our School offers.  Thank you to each and every one of our students who helped make this day a huge success.

If you missed this unique day, but would like to spend a day at King’s-Edgehill School, we can pair interested students with a student in your grade to spend the day on campus.
