Girls Hockey Win Vermont Tournament!

unnamed-6-1.jpgThe Girls Hockey Team travelled to Burlington, Vermont this past weekend for the Vermont Starts Fall Foliage Classic tournament! We were all very excited to enjoy the beauty of the fall colors but also to face off against competition from New Jersey and Vermont! Although short benched due to injury and illness, the girls battled hard all weekend and, of course, left some energy to explore downtown Burlington, and the girls threw a surprise party for Morgaines birthday. We had an amazing weekend with so many highlights on and off the ice, it’s hard to pick only a few. Let’s start with the girls scoring 11 goals in 4 games! With the cherry on top being Kenzie Cecchetto’s hat trick in the second game!

So many girls scored goals this weekend which is always fun to see. Lea MacLeod (2), Mae Batherson (2), Amelia Humphrey, Lynn Fraser, Kenzie Cecchetto (3) and Ava Benedict (2) with the championship KES girls hockey.jpgwinning goal! The girls left everything out on the ice, with a short bench, and longer periods, there were some tough hills to climb, but the ending was sweet! Special shout out to our goalies who did not allow a single goal against the entire weekend! Our first tournament win in years, feels good. Next up, the girls will visit Exeter, Proctor, and Tilton Academy November 17th-18th.

When enrolled in our Hockey Programme, your child can build a healthy lifestyle, competitive skills and close friendships, and still enjoy academic excellence, artistic pursuits, community involvement, leadership development and other seasonal sports! Download the KES Hockey Handbook here.
