Grandparents' Day at King's-Edgehill School

At King’s-Edgehill School, we understand the influential role grandparents play in their grandchildren’s lives. To IMG_7320recognize this vital relationship, we set one day aside every year to honor grandparents and their dedication to their family. This year, on Thursday, October 8, we will be holding our annual Grandparents Day right here on the campus. We invite all grandparents to attend this special day.

The festivities will begin at 11am in the Fountain Performing Arts Center. You will have the opportunity to speak with other grandparents, to meet to the school administrators, faculty and staff and to take a tour of our beautiful campus. We specifically chose the autumn season for this event so that grandparents can enjoy the true natural splendour our campus has to offer. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be reunited with your grandchildren to enjoy lunch together.

Our students are always eager for lunch on Grandparents Day so they can meet with their grandparents and show their pride in King’s-Edgehill School. Following lunch, all of our special grandparents will enjoy an entertaining show featuring our multi-talented students.  Our students work hard to perfect these performances for their grandparents. We are always pleased to see so many grandparents beaming with pride as their loved ones perform.

There will also be a variety of special events held throughout the day to give you an opportunity to see everything your grandchild is involved in at KES. We know that after touring our campus and visiting with your grandchildren, you will understand what makes KES special, and why it is the perfect educational center for your grandchildren to flourish.

We have also deliberately selected October 8, 2015 as the date for this event because it coincides with our Thanksgiving break. This allows grandparents, when able; to pick their grandchildren up at the conclusion of the day and transport them home. This gives you and your grandchild even more time together, as your grandchild brings you up to date on all the events happening at school.

Please RSVP to help us plan better for the day. We also ask that you let us know if you plan to take your child home at the conclusion of our special Grandparents Day.  To confirm your attendance or if you have any questions please feel free to contact Judy Redden at jredden@kes.ns.ca We hope to see you on October 8, 2015.
