Moon Festival

Moon Festival

Chinese people celebrate the Mid-Autumn on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. The widely accepted origin of the festival is the tale of Chang E, a goddess who lives on the moon and meets with her husband every year on this day.  Extended families get together to see the moon while eating and sharing the moon cakes. These yummy treats symbolize reunion and happiness.1-Oct-12-2020-12-34-15-84-AM

This year, we got together to hold our annual Asian dinner in the KES cafeteria. Due to COVID-19, we ordered a pick-up feast from a restaurant in Halifax. Although it was different from previous years, quality was not affected. We all got together and had a wonderful night.
