Grade 10 Acrylic Paintings

Our Grade 10 acrylic paintings are now being displayed in the foyer of our Fountain Performing Arts Centre. Please stop and have a look at the display before you attend our School play. Browse the collection here.  Recycle Art

Visitor from NB College of Craft and Design - 2584799.jpgOn Friday, November 18, the Art classes that were held that day had a very special treat. We were honoured to have visiting artist, Trudy Gallagher, from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. The focus of her visit was to demonstrate how we could be using more recyclable objects to make fun and creative art pieces. For example, we made tin and plastic ornaments from pop cans and water bottles. Her presentation inspired us all! Ms. Sinclair and I are planning to design a “reuse and recycle” unit into our classes.

Prepare to be entertained!

The Addams Family, the Musical took to KES stage on November 24, 25 and 26. Our energetic and talented cast and artistic crew brought these kooky and delightful characters to life. The show was based on cartoons which date back to the 1930's, a 1960's television show and two movies from the 1990's. The songs were clever and the script unny; a story about love, trust and unconventionality.

We are so fortunate to have the outstanding facilities of the Fountain Performing Arts Centre for our shows and for theatre arts education throughout the year. Our students are learning production technology skills, and they are working on all aspects of sound and set designs, and lighting to support our performance.

King's-Edgehill School is the only school in Atlantic Canada to have the rights to perform this new musical this fall and one of only five productions currently in rehearsal in the entire country.
