Grade 12 Graduation and Prize Day

As the demands for academic excellence increase with each academic year, the end of each term is cause for celebration of another year of hard work and dedication – this is especially true for our senior graduating class. Senior School Graduation is a different experience at King’s-Edgehill School. The graduation ceremony, also called the Annual Closing Ceremonies, is held mid-June every year. This year, 2017, marks the 228th anniversary of the ceremonies.

This year’s graduating class is a true example of the unique opportunities afforded to KES students. Supported by the entire KES population, the 2017 grads have been singing and dancing to the Addams Family, dressing up for our Cultural Fair, touring Europe and Africa, competing in robotics, debating and the Campus Cup, and playing hurley on the ice of Long Pond during a snowstorm. Needless to say, this year’s graduating class have had the vision and energy to inject life into all KES traditions.

We are extremely proud of this year’s graduating class because not only have they had fun, but they have also won so many prizes, championships, contests and hearts in the community. It has been a year characterized by humility and high endeavour, hard work and creativity.

The Graduation Ceremonies begin with a special Chapel Service in the morning exclusively for the graduates and their parents. The Prize Giving and Graduation Ceremony follows shortly thereafter. Not only do our Grade 12 students walk across the stage, but the entire student body is in attendance and participates fully in the ceremony as they are recognized for various contributions and awards.

Having the entire school population in attendance for the Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony means one last chance for everyone to celebrate the achievements made by all students throughout the past academic year.

Seeing our senior class graduate and move on in their lives is a great source of pride for the staff and teaching faculty at King’s-Edgehill School. Their success is a testament to our goal of providing a School where each child is encouraged to dream big, discover their strengths and learn in an environment of excellence.

Since 1788, King's-Edgehill has upheld a tradition of excellence and achievement. We are a home away from home for some of our students, and an extended family for all of our students. Plan your visit and find out what makes King's-Edgehill the best school for your child.
