Grade 9 Students Hitting Great Heights

Every journey begins with a single step, and there were many uphill steps that followed the first one on the Grade 9 Duke of Edinburgh Adventure Hike last Thursday, September 17th, at Blomidon Provincial Park.

Grade9

Eric Kershaw designed the 4-hour (lunch included) hike of Blomidon featuring its high cliffs and 13.5 km system of interconnected trails. There were numerous scenic look-offs along the way.  With the Bay of Fundy and its highest tides in the world as the backdrop, this was a spectacular hike enjoyed by all Grade 9 students and faculty chaperones: Eric Kershaw, Sue Cole, Kevin Lakes, Jonathan Cheverie and Taya Shields.  How wonderful to enjoy the sunshine, scenery and this outdoor fitness opportunity this outing provided.  It is great to see students forging new friendships and sharing memorable experiences.
