The modern Disney classic
FROZEN JR came alive on stage this past weekend as a stellar cast of twenty-seven Junior School students entertained audiences both young and old. The portrayal of princesses Elsa and Anna by
Hannah Stilwell and
Lucy Goddard was convincing
and magical. The stage was transformed into a wintry fairyland, where choreographed dancing and special effects created an enchanting experience for all. Audiences laughed and sighed as the story of true
love and acceptance between the sisters evolved.
The ever-popular snowman Olaf, played by Allie Pape, was an audience favourite, with hilarious performances by Oaken (Julia Field) and the Duke of Weselton (Alex Graham) adding to the merriment.
Special thanks are extended to: each member of the cast and crew; our
choreographers (
Allie Pape, Laura Gillis, Sarah Bell);
the back stage directors (
Taylor Cole, Emily Norton, Mathangi Somasekaram); and the many hands that made this show such a success. Hats off to our director,
Ms. Toven MacLean, for her exceptional artistic abilities and leadership in putting this show together.
FROZEN JR will provide wonderful memories for years to come—bravo!
