Agility, core, balance and leg workouts were mixed with visualization exercises, team building activities and race mindset. We also had a chance to go to the Trampoline Park as a team outing. Each day of the winter term, the varsity teams depart at 2:45 pm and return at 5:20 pm from Ski Martock, a local hill only a 10-minute drive away. Throughout the next ten weeks, training will consist of team warm-ups, technical lessons, free skiing or riding, and in course training. The season culminates with three Regional races at Martock for each team (Varsity Ski and Varsity SBX). These Regional races determine advancement to Provincials. SBX Provincials will be held at Martock on Monday, March 9 (bad weather date March 10) and Ski Provincials will be held at Wentworth on Wednesday, March 11 (bad weather date March 12).
